A postcard after sunrise

Au Revoir

In other words...Good-bye.

I'm leaving Topeka today.

I'm heading back to my home state for a new job. Our move helps us live closer to my hubby's job and my family. Good times.

I enjoyed spending time with my news family in Kansas -- celebrating Thanksgiving and other triumphs...plus battling through the rollercoaster of emotions that is live TV. As our morning show director says: "Live TV, gotta dig it."

I had so much fun learning more about Kansas -- all the cool places, flavors and sounds of the Sunflower State.

I know I'm leaving behind an amazing group of people inside our newsroom.

Thank you for the experience and the memories. Thank you for letting me be a part of the 49 News Family.

Cheers.

My First "I'm Back" Email

From Maikutlo Aka - My Views

I was cleaning today and found this old email which I sent out to a group of friends & family when I first got back from SA over six years ago... being away from SA for a year and a half now, it was a good feeling to re-remember when I first "fell in love".
