It's been quite a long time since I've done one of these. But what better subject matter is there than the upcoming film Halloween? Rob Zombie has "re-imagined" the classic horror film and I for one can not wait.
I am going to be extremely biased on this one, as I am quite possibly one of Rob Zombie's biggest fans. I've seen him twice and seen/own all of his films. And there's a really nice rumor going around that Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne will be coming to K.C. before the end of the year. But, this will be about the film coming out next week.
Halloween is about the young Michael Myers who for some reason kills his older sister and is put away for a long while until one night he escapes to come after his baby sister.
Everybody should venture out to see this film, even if you're like me and think that this was one film that shouldn't be tampered with. Zombie is a master of the horror genre whether it be his fantastic (see the bias!) concerts or equally awesome movies.
Halloween opens August 31st.

What was Myer's motivation?
He was crazy? Psycho? Needed a strong father figure?
I'm ashamed to admit I have not seen the original Halloween film.

They attempted to explain it in parts 4,5 and 6 but just like a sequel they ruined it. According to those films, he has a cult curse on him, but in the last two films (H20 and Ressurection) none of those films are referrenced and most likey don't "exist".
