Heroes 1.09 Homecoming

Posted Monday, November 20, 2006

Well tonight was the big episode of "Save the cheerleader; Save the world". Did they? Beyond a doubt. There are a few things that I have doubt about though. Oh but where to begin? Let’s go character by character.

Peter/Sylar: He saves the cheerleader, but now is getting arrested? Did Mr. Bennet call the cops on him thinking he was Sylar or did he know it wasn't Sylar? Honestly I was a little disappointed that more people didn't come to help other than Peter. But it was cool to see him fight Sylar, or rather run away and see Sylar attack him. Sylar is obviously a strong telekinetic, but if he has other powers, I'm sure. How did he survive that fall?

Claire/Sylar: Well Claire survived. I'm honestly glad, I think her character is developing very nicely (and she's too damn cute to die). If he is going around killing all the "heroes" why did he kill Jackie? Was he confused? Did he not do his research to know what she looks like? Or did he just know what school she went to, and when he got there saw the article on Jackie? Something about killing her seems inconsistent. But it looked like Claire was going to tell her dad the truth finally. I wonder is Dr. Daddy will in return share things. I doubt it.

Nathan/Simone: Well now we know why he didn't tell Peter about the painting. So he wouldn't die. But it looks like Nathan underestimated his little bro. Thank goodness for Simone being smarter than Nathan, or else the world could end.

Niki/Micah/D.L.: So Micah continues to have separation issues from his mom, but tells his dad about Jessica. D.L. continues to say they can't go back then finally says that they'll go back. Niki, (or is it Jessica?) gets a sniper rifle to take out D.L. and we leave the episode with the crosshairs on him.

Hiro: Well Hiro definitely doesn't have control of his powers yet, but it sounds like he had a nice relationship with Charlie, but he didn't change a thing. Charlie still dies, and Hiro has disappeared. He traveled six months into the past, but disappears a couple of weeks before Charlie dies? What happened that made him leave?

Mohinder: We got more of him being confused on what to do with his life, but ultimately decides to come back to New York. Couldn't he do more work staying there and working on that computer. Which I want to get a better look at the screen when all the names popped up, there were a lot on there, the only name I was able to pick out was D.L. So at least Mohinder wasn't completely useless this episode.

"The Organization" (aka Eden/Mr. Bennet/Haitian): They didn't kill Sylar? WHAT?! Dr. Daddy will be pissed! I thought he said to take him out. Maybe Eden interpreted it as taking him out for dinner. But it looks like Eden's power is the Jedi Mind Trick. Since they didn't kill Sylar what are they going to do with him? Have a chat over tea and crumpets? I doubt it. While this "trio" might have some common ground with everyone else against Sylar, I think they have a bigger, much more evil agenda. It could be wishful thinking, all three of them just kind of give me the creeps. How did Mr. Bennet have a picture of Charlie when it happened not too long ago? How did he find out about it?

Well I think I covered everything. Once I get a good look I'll post the list of heroes in a new blog. Until then,

Namaste
