What an episode! The "finale" or "case solving" episodes are always the best of the season. Mercer was the rapist and Mo was his accomplice. I didn't expect them. I thought it was Tim, because of the shoes. Tim just looked like he would wear loafers like that. Then when he showed up at the party talking about how he had been with a lot of women while he and his girlfriend were together (which I highly doubt) I could of sworn I figured it out. But yet again Veronica Mars throws us a knuckleball.
It was great to see Mac back. I don't think all of them have been in the same episode since the 2 of the season. In minor plot aspects, who ever heard of a college without Greek houses? So I wasn't that surprised when Dean O'Dell brought them back. I knew it was a matter of time until he had Keith investigate his wife. What lingers in my mind is did he take the gun with him to the hotel room? What happened there? And of course, who shot him in the head? I am sure the first person the cops and Veronica run, to will be his wife and Landry. But that would make this too easy. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was either:
A) One of the rape victims OR
B) One of the lillith house girls.
But considering that his murder will be the next mystery arch, I am sure we will get a lot of curveballs thrown at us.
Finally we come the minor plot of Logan dumping Veronica. Honestly I was glad they broke up. Now maybe Logan won't be so full of angst, and be the sarcastic jackass we loved in Season 1 & 2. And this will give Veronica the opportunity to work more mysteries, since right now there is no character I can see her dating. Well Veronica Mars won't be back until January 23rd. Tune in tomorrow for the "fall finale" of Jericho and a new Day Break. Until then,
