Television is the new movies

Playing Catch Up

Hello all. I plan on using this blog to share my thoughts and opinions on the different shows I watch, and any other random bits of info I get. Welcome to the first entry of Television is the New Movies! The shows I will be commenting on will be (in no particular order) Lost, Veronica Mars, Heroes, Jericho, Supernatural, and Day Break when it fills in for Lost's 13 week break.

On to what has aired so far.

Jericho 1.01 Pilot

I have to admit. I saw the pilot for Jericho before it aired. I watched it online. But I still did watch its premiere. This allowed me to watch it twice. I have to say it was a really good pilot. It will be interesting to see where it is going to go. There are many possibilities of where it could go. I also wonder what other cities got hit. We know of 2. At least there are no reports from Topeka! Seeing what it looks like in morning will be interesting also. I also think that Robert Hawkins knows more than he is letting on. Another thing I am sure they will reveal what Jake's plan was. Also the outcome of the criminals who killed the sheriff will be interesting. Either way I am going to keep watching at least until Christmas break if not all the way through. I am definitely looking forward to the next episode.

Heroes 1.01 Genesis

Ok, so....wow. I am just speechless by the premere episode of Heroes. I thought it would be good. I didn't think it would be that awesome. NBC has a LOST caliber show now. I never thought I'd see the day. Seriously, Heroes is going to be the next LOST. There are so many places I think this show will go. So many powers to discover. So far I think the coolest is Claire's. The reason I say that is most other powers so far are fairly nubilous. We've seen the painter's power, and he is going to have a huge impact on the storyline of the show. Kind of the Doyle (from Angel) of Heroes. It will be neat to see everyone else's powers flourish. I think that Michah has powers too, especially since his mom does. He obviously is super smart. And did Nathan know he could fly and just didn't say anything. And if so can Peter also? I guess we'll find out next week.

what about some cable shows?

Battlestar Galactica kicks-off season 3 next week. The storylines and characters went down a serious, dark path....the cylons kicked some major butt...and what's left of the human race is now under cylon occupation. I've been watching the webisodes so that I'm all caught up for Friday night....

I don't have more than basic cable, and I missed the first to seasons of Battlestar Galactica, I was trying to get them on dvd from the library but, I gave up.

My First "I'm Back" Email

From Maikutlo Aka - My Views

I was cleaning today and found this old email which I sent out to a group of friends & family when I first got back from SA over six years ago... being away from SA for a year and a half now, it was a good feeling to re-remember when I first "fell in love".
