Supernatural 3.16 No Rest for the Wicked

Posted Thursday, May 15, 2008 - 1 comment

It wouldn't be a season finale of Supernatural if they didn't start the episode's "Previously" with a rock song. The writers strike (in my opinion) really helped Supernatural's story telling. There was much less "filler" episodes this season than mythology filled episodes.

Anyways Dean's time is up and they decided to go after Lillith. Ruby seems to think that the only way to kill Lillith is with Sammy's "dormant" abilities from last season. Unfortunately for us he doesn't tap into the dark side. But I noticed an odd noise when Lillith took over Ruby's body and kissed Sam. I wonder if it was just music noise, or intentional. I don't think we'll be seeing Ruby again. They made it sound like she was sent back to hell; if she does come back I know it won't be in the same form. The most awesome part of the show...Dean getting ripped apart by the hell hounds, then in hell. Apparently Eric Kripke's version of hell is hanging in nothingness on meat hooks. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will Dean actually get out of hell? We know Daddy Winchester did, but it seemed like he didn't stay on the earth. If Dean's soul is in hell and his body is on earth, Dean would have to crawl back into his ripped up body. With Dean gone will Sam tap into his dark side powers to get revenge on Lillith? I can't wait to see what happens.

See you after the Lost finale!

Namaste!
