Most plants are able to tolerate heat, said Annette Jackson, co-owner of Jackson's Greenhouse.
Most people know to water their plants, but some don't realize the importance of fertilizer.
Jackson said to get potted and hanging plants to bloom, fertilizing once a week is needed. Jackson's favorite is the Ferti-lome brand.
With gardens, Jackson suggests a soaker hose to give the garden a deep and thorough saturation.
