KU needs to shake off recent loss to prepare for Showdown

We're less than 48 hours away from Wednesday night's Sunflower Showdown between the KU and K-State basketball teams.
With KU's loss against Texas A and M on Saturday and the Wildcats win at Texas, the two teams come into Wednesday night's match-up tied for second place in the Big 12 with identical 6 - 2 conference records.
But at their weekly press conference Monday afternoon, the Jayhawks were having a tough time looking forward to Wednesday night's Showdown, still stinging from their loss to the Aggies.
"It hurts a lot, but sometimes you don't want it to hurt too much," KU head coach Bill Self said. "You know coaching in basketball is such a fine line because you have so many games. You want it to sting bad, but not to the point where it costs you the next game. So that's where we obviously have to do a good job of getting them back at that magic level."
