Participants to rope and ride powerful rodeo stock

The bulls and horses will be bucking and spurs will be flying at the PRCA Rodeo at the Kansas Expocentre.
Randy Taylor, a rodeo announcer, promises a good show to those attending for the saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding.

"The herd of livestock that are here is electric," he said.
This weekend's event brings 293 cowboys and cowgirls to Topeka for a Friday and Saturday night rodeo.
"This is the big time," he said. "It's no dress rehearsal in Topeka this weekend."
Each night features a different field of contenders and includes seven events: bareback, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
A Pittsburg, Kansas, cowgirl -- who competes on the national level -- will compete for championship points in the PRCA.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, founded in 1939, sanctions rodeos all across the U.S.
