Congress turns its attention to agriculture

Moran says the bill passed by the committee on agriculture was okay, but not great.

He says he's concerned urban members of Congress don't understand the importance of providing legislation that helps our agricultural communities.
"The problem is the budget provides a lot less money for farm programs than the current farm bill that our farmers operate under," Moran said. "In fact, it's reduced by about half."
More than 10-billion dollars of the Kansas economy is related to our agricultural communities.
