A National Champion made an appearance in the Capital City this afternoon.
Former Kansas basketball star Brandon Rush was at the Kansas Sampler store on 21st Street signing autographs for the Jayhawk faithful.
The 13th pick in the NBA draft was there to promote the book A Year to Remember.
Rush says it's always nice to see that people still care about him even after he left school.
"Yeah, it's definitely a big line out there. I love how our fans treat us around here, being able to come back here and get treated like this, it's very special to me," Rush said.
"Yeah dude, you go to Kansas, you gotta like him. Once you go to Kansas, you're always a Kansas Jayhawk," fan Adam Wuerfle said.
The next time you'll see Rush on the hardwood is October 29th when he makes his professional debut with the Indiana Pacers.
