Funding restored to Topeka Cemetery Association

The Topeka Cemetery Association will get $19,000 back, thanks to the police helicopter unit.
Last week, the council voted to cut the board's budget by $20,000.
Topeka Cemetery Association members threatened to quit their jobs if the funding was cut.
The city realized that wasn't a good move, because it would have to take over the maintenance of the cemetery.
That would have cost $270,000 a year.
