McCain: "Obama not 'right for America"

As Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama prepares to make his acceptance speech tonight, his Republican rival is offering some mild criticism.

John McCain tells Pittsburgh radio station KDKA that while he admires and respects Obama, he doesn't think "he's right for America."

McCain says he thinks his own policies, proposals and ideas are "more in touch with the American people."

As far who McCain would pick for vice president, it's thought that either Mitt Romney or Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty could be tapped by John McCain as his running mate in the next few days. Whoever it is is expected to appear with McCain at one or more rallies in midwestern swing states this weekend.

In his interview with KDKA, McCain talked very highly about another person considered a strong possibility to be his choice, former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge. He called Ridge a great American and a dear friend whom he has relied upon for years.

Tonight's speech by Obama, the first black man to be a major political party's presidential nominee, comes on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. A campaign spokesman says the Illinois Democrat plans to talk about issues ranging from health care and education to international threats.

Meanwhile, the Republicans prepare for their national convention, which kicks off Sept. 1 in Minnesota. Learn more about the convention here.

Kansas Senator Sam Brownback is slated to speak in prime time on the final night of the convention

Besides his opposition to abortion, Brownback will talk about making it a priority to fight poverty and injustice around the world.

The keyword in this election is ECONOMICS. American ECONOMY. McCain has no clue about ECONOMICS.
WAR PRISONER, is not a keyword in this election. Serving in the army DOES NOT make you a Commander-in-Chief!
FOREIGN RELATIONS, another keyword. McCain and Obama have no foreign relations experience! Being a senator for (God knows how long), does not give you foreign service experience. In this area, Bush is not stopping Russia now, neither can McCain. Bush is not stopping Iran go nuclear and neither can McCain nor Obama! Only Israel has the urgency and the will to do something about it with a little help from USA. With all the experience Bush has and the generals around him, America is in a mess today.
America urgently needs Obama to cleanse it and not another "experienced" Bush think-alike. Go, Obama, Go!
