DVD offers Batman fans trip down memory lane
10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Today is one of two days this month expected to excite "Batman" fans.
For the first time, the original "Batman" movie can be seen on DVD. This re-release precedes the July 18th release of "Dark Knight."
The original movie was inspired by the 1966 television series of "Batman" with Adam West.
Film Critic Keith Van Sickle -- who has appears on segments on Tuesdays and Fridays on Good Morning Kansas -- says the DVD contains beautifully remastered sound and picture.
DVD's features include a documentary about the Batmobile and commentary from West and Burt Ward, who played Robin.
"I think this is a great treat for fans," Van Sickle said.
He said the DVD was worth purchasing and won't break the bank.
