Boyda comments on more domestic oil production

President Bush today said people should ask Congress why they haven't approved more domestic oil production.

We did ask, and Congresswoman Nancy Boyda told us governors of Florida and California have held up off-shore drilling.

"So, for the last probably 20 years, we've had Republican governors in those two states that have said 'no'," Boyda said. "Now, in the last three to four weeks, they've changed their minds. Now, even John McCain who has said 'over my dead body will you do offshore drilling' has changed his mind."

Boyda says she favors increased domestic oil production, but only if we also push forward with new energy technologies and conservation efforts.
