Sour situation prompts sweet cash
Little girls raise money for Chapman schools through lemonade stand

Chapman These three girls – Emma, Peyton and Madeline – raised money for the Chapman school district through a lemonade stand.
The 5, 6 and 7-year-old girls raised more than $400 in just five hours, selling cookies and lemonade.
The girls say they enjoyed running the stand on their own.
“We got people lemonade and we shared doing it,” says Peyton Suther. “We shared doing the spout and the cookies and the front, so we kind of did all of it.”
Peyton’s favorite task was pouring the drinks, while little Emma preferred eating the cookies.
The girls have big goals for their stand, and even talked to me about making a lemonade restaurant chain when they grow up.
But until then, the girls will focus on smaller plans. They have already planned a second lemonade stand. It’s scheduled during a community golf tournament next week.
