You may remember Eric Nordgren from a bike ride for cancer he did last year.
In September, Nordgren began a multi-state bike ride to raise money for cancer research.
“The money comes from individuals: $5, $10, $15 donations, $20 dollar donations,” he said.
Funds for his tour de cure came in small and big chunks along his 228-mile ride. It added up to $15,000, most of which went to cancer foundations.

One year ago, Denise was diagnosed with breast cancer
We asked Denise what she’s be doing with the money.
“Paying medical bills. There's a lot of bills involved with this,” she said.
Denise says she appreciates something else even more than the money.

“It's great to have the support. You ask what people can do who are newly diagnosed and the support -- if they can find support -- that's the best thing do to,” she said.
Eric says he isn't finished funding this cause. He's planning another, even longer bike ride this June, 335 miles. This time he'll have company for at least part of the ride.
“I'll have a bike with a child seat on the back and my granddaughter, Kiah, who is 2-years-old will be riding with me,” Eric said.
She'll bee riding along and helping to raise money for a cure.
