Go Red event to emphasize risk women face of failing heart

Ladies, grab your girlfriend and enjoy a night out on in the Little Apple.
The Go Red for Women Ladies Night Out, scheduled for Sept. 25, is an evening to celebrate life, learn proactive measures to live longer and raise awareness of a disease that kills one in every two women. The evening culminates with a seated meal with Dr. Richard Collins, a nationally known Cooking Cardiologist.

- Age limit: All ages
Only 21 percent of women view heart disease as a real heart risk, when it is, Lou Irwin, with Go Red for Women, said.
The Go Red for Women initiative started in 1997, and it is in its fifth year in Manhattan.
For $30, participants, and they don't have to be limited to women, can learn healthy cooking advice from The Cooking Cardiologist and Dr. Deb Doubek.
