If you haven't seen the comedic television show "The Office," now is the time to pick up the DVD box set, Film Critic Keith Van Sickle said today during his interview on Good Morning Kansas -- or at least season 4, which came out on DVD today.
Then again, Van Sickle is a self-described "Office" fanatic.
"I think 'The Office' is the funniest show on TV," he said. "I think it's the best written show on TV."
But, for what it's worth "The Office" boasts several talented actors and actresses, including Steve Carell.
Carell is terrific as Michael Scott, Van Sickle said. Jim and Pam (John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer) are wonderful to watch too, he said.
Dwight Schrute is played by Rainn Wilson. Van Sickle calls him the break-out star of the show.
The idea to film a documentary of office drama was taken from the successful British TV show of the same name.
DVD features extras like deleted scenes, extended scenes and spoofs off of NBC's the More You Know campaign.
"This show is well worth picking up," he said.
One downside, the DVD of Season 4 only offers 15 episodes because of writer's strike, but sells at the same price as a normal 22-episode season disc.
Van Sickle said the show is something you can watch over and over again and still enjoy. And if you do get tired of it, Van Sickle recommends check out the British version on DVD.
Season 5 of "The Office" begins Sept. 25.
