Armed robber steals woman's purse

Police are looking for a man in connection with an armed robbery that happened Thursday night just outside The Goose bar.

A woman called police to report that she was threatened with a firearm and her purse stolen shortly after 11 p.m.

The victim's billfold was found along the curb in the 1500 block of Southwest Oakley, with the contents scattered along the gutter. The purse has not been recovered.

Police ask residents living along the robber's route -- 10th and Watson to the 1500 block of Southwest Oakley -- to check their yards, bushes and garbage cans for the victim's medium size black purse with silver trim.
