Pratt football player's absence felt by community

They say he played without fear. Now, players and coaches in Pratt, Kansas fear for him after a hit Friday night that he will likely never remember. The hit knocked junior linebacker Luke Southard unconscious and he is still in serious condition at a Denver Hospital. Reporter Cliff Judy spent the day in Pratt, talking with people about the helmet-to-helmet collision and tells us how everyone there is waiting for Southard to wake up. Watch video.

The weather has messed up plans for at least one football game tonight. Perry Lecompton's game against Bishop Ward will be played in Kansas City and Royal Valley's game against Holton has been rescheduled. Jackson Heights has postponed its game, too. Read story.
