Reporter

NEW! View Kendall's video bio here.

Kendall joined the 49 News team in August 2007 and is currently a general assignment reporter. In May 2007, Kendall graduated magna cum laude from The University of Memphis with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Originally from Colorado Springs, Colo., Kendall began his college career at Emporia State University. After one year, he transferred to Memphis where he found a love for journalism. While in school, Kendall won various awards for his reporting, including a 2007 ranking as one of the top 10 news reporters in the South by the South East Journalism Conference. He was also one of 12 people chosen from across the nation to participate in the Meredith-Cronkite Fellowship Program at Phoenix, Arizona's KPHO-TV.

During college, Kendall anchored, reported and produced for his school newscast and wrote for the campus newspaper, The Daily Helmsman. He also worked the weekend night cops beat for the city newspaper, The Commercial Appeal, which is the largest-circulation newspaper in the Mid-South. After an internship at WREG in Memphis, Kendall was ready to start work.

Kendall is excited to be back in Kansas to start his career and is glad to call Topeka home. In his spare time he likes to go to the movies, hang out with friends and take his dog, Shaggy, to the dog park! Kendall is thrilled to get to know the people of Topeka, so if you see him out, please say hello!
