Natasha Trelfa

Natasha comes to the capital city from Denver via the University of Kansas. She graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications in December of 2005, with a degree in news and information, with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.

During her time at KU, Natasha reported and anchored for KUJH-TV, the student run news station and co-hosted a weekly sports show called “Jayhawk Sports Talk.” Natasha also produced and anchored the news for the university radio station, KJHK 90.7. While reporting for KU, Natasha covered the Kansas Board of Education’s debate on intelligent design versus evolution.

Natasha began her career in her living room when she was five, “anchoring” the news for her parents. She got her real start as an intern at Radio 850 KOA in Denver, KMBC in Kansas City, and KCRA in Sacramento, California. During her time as an intern, Natasha learned the importance of accuracy, patience and perseverance.

Natasha is excited to have the opportunity to bring you news each morning. She was recently promoted as anchor for 49's Good Morning Kansas. She enjoys working closely with the community, helping to educate them on important stories and learn from the people around her. She believes in being an active and positive member of the community.

Natasha enjoys playing lacrosse and spending time with friends and family. When she has some down time, Natasha likes to catch a movie or hit a baseball game...and yes, she loves her Jayhawks, the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with and learn from the talented and passionate team at Channel 49 News.
