Stefanie Sloan

KTKA Producer, June 2007 - November 2008

Stefanie is the producer for 49 News at 10.

She grew up in the western Kansas town of Norton and graduated from Norton Community High School in 2002. Stefanie attended Hutchinson Community College on a volleyball scholarship where she received an Associate’s degree in Telecommunication in 2004. While in Hutchinson, she worked for The Hutchinson News as a sports clerk.

Then, she went to the University of Central Arkansas, also on a volleyball scholarship, where she double majored in television-broadcasting and speech communications. She also worked as the sports anchor and community forum reporter for UCA’s Channel 6 News and helped out in the Sports Information Department.

Stefanie just moved back to Kansas in June, with her beagle, Lily, where they are enjoying being closer to family.

She loves sports and music. She usually spends her time watching movies, reading suspense novels or working out. Her favorite movies are The Departed, Rudy, Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail, The Notebook and Remember the Titans.

When she’s not at work, she also spends time getting to know the city of Topeka and the surrounding communities.
