Fred and Shirley's cult needs to be stopped in their abominable tracks.

No God would condone this type of behavior. By calling Fred Phelps "Reverend" would be to say he is ecclesiastical, which he is NOT. I would be more secure in saying he could be an anti-Christ and when he dies he will be in the company of Adolf.

The Phelps clan is nothing but a smalltime cult with the smell of rotting flesh following them everywhere they go. I've not seen anything more sad looking since the Jim Jones cult.

Someone needs to put him in a padded cell with a mirror at one end so he can admire himself until he drops out of site from dementia or an "untimely" accident.

That goes for his daughter the lunatic too.

I've heard better "speeches" from the ramblings of people with alzheimers. I guess Shirley and Fred's constant strolls down Crazy Lane of what they perceive as a religion, will keep them AND their incestuous family away from the rest of us. I don't want any of their physical and mental diseases by breathing the same air.

It's a simple fact: Their God, Fred the Fart should be buried in the county landfill along with all the other city's trash. Shirley, lordy you're weird looking!

Good Luck Mr. Snyder! Fred and Shirley's cult needs to be stopped in their abominable tracks.

Then it says "Infected persons cannot spread the disease".

Did I read this correctly? They voted against "agreeing to disagree"?

The Legislature desperately wants to be fashionable.
If you can make any sense out of their dim-witted disquisitions, then you must have gotten higher marks in school than I did.
I'll use a phrase that Prof. Revilo P. Oliver said at one time. The legislature's cognitive thinking is "hermetically sealed against fresh air from the real world."

Anyone who has spent much time wading through the pious, obscurantist, jargon-filled cant that now passes for "advanced" thought already knows that they emit an essence of "careless" that is so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics as we know them.
Here's one detail to end with: The Legislature provides complex answers to simplistic problems.

On Unemployment benefits waiting period debate is deadlocked

Kind of hypocritical isn't it? Years ago they said the one-week waiting period was used (more or less) BC (Before Computers). It actually took a week to process applications, etc. etc.

Since they can't use that excuse anymore, now it's because of termination reasons. In other words, legitimate laid off persons are being penalized for illegitimate benefits.

Patti Bosser ALSO said "bringing this information into light can take weeks".

So, if it takes weeks to find out the info they need, especially in a computer information world, what difference would it make in amending the one-week waiting period to none?

Everything should be more or less instantaneous as far as getting info from a business.

Rather than hiring new unemployment workers who know nothing about computers, why don't they hire a few smart people who can turn one on.

It's a classic case of teenage boredom and possible jealousy of an older brother.

It doesn't need to be analyzed and studied on a psychologist's couch.

The father sounds very responsible and seems to be handling the situation.

Yes smoking in the presence of kids is bad and you should not do this in their presence.

however.....it's pretty scary when every year they think of something else to create a regulation for.

What is next: Toilet paper police? Tickets for cooking with too much trans fats or allowing your child to eat 2 candy bars instead of 1? Fines started from People Against Anything That We Don't Like?

They've already banned the game Tag in a couple of places because it's a potential violent threat to the children. I'm just wondering when they will pass a law to require safety helmets for all children when they are in a vehicle or on a playground, not to mention knee pads and Kevlar gloves. Children should not be in a household with dogs because they may bite them.

To give someone a ticket for smoking in their vehicle is outrageous. However, if the vehicle has to be stopped for another violation (speeding, etc.) and the officer spots a fat child without a helmet, kneepads and gloves, eating a McDonald's cheeseburger, 2 candy wrappers found on the floorboard, and the driver is emitting an odor of trans fat gas in an enclosed car, I say, send that terrible parent to the slammer!!!
